Baby & Me Classes 10:00 am

Baby & Me Classes Is a 30 minutes group class to introduce infants and toddlers age 6 months. Classes are 30  minutes with a maximum total of 5 students per class due to lack of space.

Level 1

Aim of class: 2 to 5 years old with their parent or caregiver. Through songs, fun and instructional games, students learn to be comfortable in the water & learn basic water skills. *Adult must accompany baby in the water*

Level 2

Aim of class: Water adjustment, learn basic swimming skills. Children go in the water with a flotation belt and the grown ups are in the water to help the children while being led by the teacher to learn how to kick, blow bubbles, water adjustment, float and swim. This class is for children 3-6 years old who are not quite ready to go in the water without their caregiver. *child must be 3 years old by the beginning of the class session

For ages 3-6 years old. This class is for children who have very some experience with swimming.

Water adjustment; learn basic swimming skills (kicking, arms movement; develop coordination; develop muscle memory; blow bubbles; submerge face or head under water).

Swim the width of the pool unassisted; swim under water; learn basic swimming skills for front crawl; perfect rhythmic breathing.

I acknowledge that I have voluntarily agreed to allow myself or my child to participate in the Ocean Olympia Swimming Program under the direct supervision of an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard. I recognize the hazards inherent in my child’s participation in the swimming program, and I acknowledge that although Ocean Olympia has taken great safety measures to minimize the risk of injury, Ocean Olympia cannot insure that my child, the equipment, pool premises and/or water activities will be free of hazards, accidents or injuries. I further acknowledge that I have instructed my child of the pool safety rules, and I will accept legal responsibility should my child fail to obey these rules. Furthermore, I hereby release Ocean Olympia, its employees and agents from liability, any damages, or injury, including death caused by, derived from, or associated with my child’s participation in the swimming program, except for such damages or injuries as may be caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the employees or agents of
Ocean Olympia.
